Cervelo S5 Red AXS Road Bike
PURE SPEED
The Cervelo S5 is a sport-wide benchmark for speed and aerodynamic efficiency—with the race results to back it up. From Wout van Aert winning the Green Jersey by the biggest margin of victory in modern history, to Simon Yates riding himself into the maglia rosa, S5’s iconic V-stem and bayonet fork are a fixture at the front of the professional peloton. The new Cervelo S5 frameset builds on that legacy of speed by getting even faster.
The new bike is over 6 Watts faster than its predecessor, 124 grams lighter, and retains the handling, poise, and stability that riders everywhere love. The biggest changes are at the front of the bike, where the most significant aerodynamic performance comes from. The fork legs and head tube got quite a bit deeper, and the all-new, one-piece handlebar/stem builds on the original V-stem concept—and gets even faster.
Cervélo and Reserve co-developed the new Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero wheels specifically for use in the Cervelo S5 frame, completing the aerodynamic system.
Aero Aero Aero
The new Cervelo S5 is 6.3 Watts faster than its predecessor. These gains are realized primarily at the front end of the bike, but the integration of the asymmetric profiles of the seat tube and rear wheel are a significant source as well. Cervélo has long been the aerodynamic leader in the peloton, and we’re confident that the new Cervelo S5 is at least 5 Watts faster than the bikes of our competitors.
One-Piece Handlebar/Stem
HB19 uses our “Plus-Four” concept, meaning the dimension at the hoods is 4cm narrower than in the drops (e.g. 38cm/42cm). This approach helps riders maintain a more aero body position while their hands are on the hoods, and provides stability in the drops for descending and sprinting. All bar sizes are UCI-legal, even in light of the most recent regulations change.
Not just faster. Lighter, too.
Despite an increase in surface area, the new Cervelo S5 is 124 grams lighter than its predecessor. While the increase in fork and head tube depth added weight, we optimized the layup and hardware to make the system lighter.
Reserve 57|64 Designed for S5:
The new Reserve 57|64 wheelset was co-developed by Reserve and Cervélo, and designed for use in the new Cervelo S5 road bike. The rear wheel’s asymmetry matches the seat tube, ensuring air flows smoothly over both. The new wheelset is 3 Watts faster than the 52|63 wheels, and weighs the same.
NE PEACE OF MIND
The new Cervelo S5 one-piece bar and stem is a big part of the bike’s increase in aerodynamic performance, but aerodynamic improvements are limited if the bike doesn’t fit you perfectly. We made nine different size combinations, and when you buy a Cervelo S5, your Authorized Cervélo Retailer will help you get the right bar/stem combo, for no additional cost.

While it’s faster and leaner, the Cervelo S5 bike still delivers the precise handling, stability, and razor-sharp responsiveness that riders love. This is the S5, reimagined for those who love the thrills and challenges of riding at speed.
Cervelo x Reserve 57/64 Turbulent Aero
Co-developed by Cervelo and Reserve, the 57/64 Turbulent Aero wheelset has been tuned to work perfectly with this latest iteration of the S5 frame and forks. The asymmetry of the rear wheel matches the seat tube, ensuring smooth and efficient airflow over both. Meanwhile, the added depth of the front rim helps smooth airflow over the wheel in high yaw scenarios. Some 3 watts faster than its predecessor wheelset, the 57/64 still tips the scales at the same weight.
Cervelo HB19 Carbon one-piece cockpit
The distinctive V-shaped bar and stem remain, but it’s now a one-piece setup. The “Plus-Four” concept gives a handlebar design where the width at the hoods is 4cm narrower than at the drops – for example, 38cm at the hoods and 42cm at the drops. This innovative setup promotes a more aerodynamic riding position when your hands are on the hoods, while still offering enhanced control and stability in the drops for sprinting and descending. Frame Sizing
How do I determine what bike size I need?
The age-old question, isn’t it? There are many factors that go into bicycle sizing and fit, particularly for high-performance bikes. Without being able to measure you and see you on a bike, precise fit information is difficult to supply. It’s also not unusual for someone to be able to ride two different sizes depending on their goals, flexibility, and fit tolerance. That said, we have some fantastic retailers, and we’d encourage you to go start a conversation with them about what you want from your new bike.
Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
